\n \nBasic Purpose:
\nTo plan and manage instructional design projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization. Develop instructional courses tailored to meet the desired learning outcomes and needs of and the learners. Collaborate to implement strategies for educating and training employees to achieve higher levels of performance. Utilize a variety of techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies. Create curricula by quickly and efficiently learning/processing large volumes of information and by conducting research on subject matter. Remain supportive of business unit/organizational training needs and refresh the training and materials as needed throughout its lifecycle. Work under minimal supervision.
\n \nResponsibilities:
\n• Advise and assist trainers on course evaluation results – Advanced
\n• Collaborate with others to plan and design courses and curricula; ensure accuracy of content and test multimedia elements – Assist in leading
\n• Conduct needs assessment on request from business unit management to provide customized training or individual guidance to improve and develop performance – Advanced analysis
\n• Create and edit new LMS learning activities; set up required training assignments in LMS; create custom LMS reports
\n• Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produce error free work – Advanced
\n• Develop and test course content, training games, graphic designs and other technology driven products – Advanced
\n• Develop classroom, on-line and/or independent learning program content that transfers knowledge effectively and brings about desired behavior change – Advanced
\n• Develop instructional strategies and courses for a business unit and/or cross-company products and skills – Advanced
\n• Evaluate the effectiveness of courses, learning products and delivery methods to ensure that the desired learning objectives and goals are achieved – Advanced
\n• Involved in instructional design project teams with multiple deliverables, significant risk and complexity – Assist in leading
\n• Select most effective instructional approach including a blend of instructor-led and/or self directed techniques – Advanced
\n• Select, modify, or establish a design and development model appropriate for a given project; analyze learning needs to assist in establishing learning objectives – Advanced
\n• Train internal team members on effective use of classroom materials including ILT and VILT and environments
\n• Validate and integrate feedback, assessments and course evaluations into current and new training course content and/or delivery vehicle – Advanced
\n• Conduct presentations for various groups including executive leadership – Advanced
\n• Perform other duties as assigned
\n \nQualifications – All required unless otherwise noted:
\n• Bachelor's Degree in Education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
\n• Ability to adapt to fluctuating work-flow
\n• Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
\n• Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses and learning products and delivery methods
\n• Experience in researching/writing course content and/or developing courses, demonstrations, graphic designs and other technology driven products
\n• Advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources
\n• Working knowledge of instructional design to develop courses for products, processes and/or skills
\n• Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
\n• Effective database and presentation software skills
\n• Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
\n• Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
\n• Effective skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
\n• Effective skill collaborating with various external and internal technical and/or functional contacts
\n• Effective skill communicating with all levels within an organization
\n• Effective skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development
