PPG's Aerospace Business is hiring an Industrial Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas. In this role, you will primarily model and document original designs and components using SolidWorks or similar software. Programming and troubleshooting PLC's as a secondary function, Allen Bradely primarily. You will write the original language, operate the PLC codes, and troubleshoot if and when any problems arise. You will report to the Advanced Manufacturing Manager. This is a hybrid position working 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.Key ResponsibilitiesModel creation and virtual testing, standardization of methodology and records across the businessPLC code creation and troubleshooting, and instrumentation integration across the business unitDevelop RFQs, SOW, and directly manage vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment installationResponsible for project documentation, including technical writingSelect and install hardware and software as neededQualificationsOnly US Citizens, Green Card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to applyBachelor's Degree in Software / Manufacturing Engineering preferred4+ years of Modeling experience requiredPLC interfacing, primarily Allen BradleyAbility to travel if needed#LI-HYBRIDHow we work: At PPG, we bring teams together to accelerate collaboration and career development, with in-person work Monday through Thursday and the opportunity to work remotely on Flexible Fridays.
